Boeing 737 emergency landing must
Charleston - from as yet unknown causes had a Boeing 737-300 of the U.S. carrier Southwest Airlines in Charleston (West Virginia) make an emergency landing. The plane was on its way from Nashville to Baltimore, when suddenly a hole the size of a football was thrown into the roof. Of the 131 people on board, no one was injured.
In the cabin pressure dropped rapidly. The 126 passengers and five crew members used the oxygen masks. The pilot had the aircraft force-landed in Charleston. The passengers were later taken to a replacement plane to Baltimore.
As the hole was suddenly blown to the roof, is as yet unclear. The authorities have started investigations. All Boeing 737-300 aircraft the airline will be investigated. Total of 544 planes belonging to the fleet of Southwest Airlines.
