At the funeral on Sunday at the AWD-Arena is laid out the coffin of football goalkeeper Robert Enke on the lawn. After a church worship and funeral orations of Hanover 96-president Martin Kind, Lower Saxony Premier Christian Wulff, Mayor Stephan Weil and DFB President Theo Zwanziger will follow.
It informed the Bundesliga club announced on Thursday. The funeral will be broadcast live on ARD. After the ceremony in the stadium, the coffin is transferred to the cemetery in the New Town district Empede, which takes place in the privacy of the funeral. At the cemetery is also Enkes daughter Lara, who had died 2006th Enke had committed suicide on Tuesday evening.
The family at Enkes widow Teresa asks the fans in the sense of the deceased, instead of flowers for a donation for the Per Mertesacker Foundation. The funeral, to which the entire team who have announced DFB leadership as well as numerous players and representatives of other football clubs, begins at 11 clock. The club expects tens of thousands of people, a maximum of 45,000 allowed into the stadium.
